Notable milestones in 1972:

  • Watergate
  • The Godfather premiered in theaters
  • American Pie by Don McLean and Let’s Stay Together by Al Green top the music charts.
  • Angel Ruiz began his career at Buck Company

Since his hire, Angel has been a selfless employee. He clocked in every day at 3:45 AM and got straight to work. He always kept his work area spotless and went out of his way to help the newer, younger employees to grind and regrind well. Throughout his career, he never stopped helping the grinders and always made sure his team had the support and guidance they needed.

Words Icon

“Angel was a selfless, hardworking, dedicated, dependable employee and all-around a really likable guy. He never came in late, never missed days of work, and always worked overtime.”

To celebrate his career achievements, we threw him a retirement party in July. We are excited for Angel to begin his next chapter of life – spending time with his wife traveling – but we will miss him around the foundry.

It’s employees like Angel that make Buck Company a Foundry Family.
