Meet Reuben Fisher
Congratulations to Reuben Fisher, our September Employee Spotlight! For the past three years, Reuben has been a valued member of Buck Company’s Maintenance department. His role focuses on fixing machines safely to ensure maximum performance, work that is essential to keeping our foundry running efficiently. From troubleshooting breakdowns to tackling major repairs, Reuben’s work helps minimize downtime and keep production moving forward.
One project that stands out for him was replacing the floor and pedestal on the ductile muller, a challenge that highlighted both his adaptability and problem-solving skills. Some of his best advice for new team members is: “Slow down and think the problem through before acting on the breakdown.”
Reuben first came to Buck for the steady hours and wages. While the schedule has shifted over the years, he values that the balanced compensation and supportive culture remain. He also appreciates the opportunities for growth, like the Penn Foster maintenance program, which has helped him sharpen his skills and advance his career.
His supervisor, Bobby Erb, shared: “He is a dedicated worker that has come a long way and it is awesome watching him grow into a great maintenance man.”
