Meet William Alexander
Congratulations to William (Bill) Alexander, our June Employee Spotlight! For 40 years, Bill has been a steady force in Buck Company’s Pattern Shop, maintaining core boxes, gating patterns, and rigging tooling. As a leader, he also coordinates daily work for his teammates and is always ready to lend a hand.
One achievement that stands out for Bill is the four-year ICS Pattern Making course he completed to become a Journeyman patternmaker—training that sharpened the craftsmanship he brings to every casting. When asked to describe Buck in five words, he chose: “Enjoyable, Satisfaction, Challenging, Friendly Atmosphere.” Those same qualities, along with great benefits and job stability, are why he encourages others to join the Buck family.
Bill’s journey began when his uncles invited him to try the foundry life, back when hand-molding ruled the floor. He’s watched our plant transform into a fully automated operation while forming lifelong friendships – his favorite part of the job. Off the clock, you’ll often find him surf-fishing along the coast, recharging for the next project.
